When you visit Dublin, Howth is a must see on any foodie itinerary in Ireland. When in Rome and all that!

Even if you are not a self proclaimed foodie and just love your food (that’s alright) we welcome you to Howth and a fantastic seafood experience. Over the years we have seen our little fishing village (16km from Dublin city centre) reborn as a top Irish food destination. Situated in a bustling working harbour we take full advantage of the freshest fish and shellfish every day. We have family run trawlers which supply the restaurants with the first and freshest pick of the catch.

We support sustainable fishing and use traditional methods to fish local waters for lobster, crab, scallops. The menu reflects today’s catch of fresh fish. But it’s not all fish so don’t worry if you have a non seafood lover among you. Although predominantly seafood at The Brass Monkey we also serve some meat and vegetarian options. We also have many dishes available with a gluten free option, just ask.

This St Patrick’s weekend be sure to call to Howth for a fun filled day for the whole family. Please use public transport via DART train or bus. See the boats, our friendly harbour seals and take a boat ride to Ireland’s Eye. There’s a great day waiting for you! #visithowth.
